Attention shifter drivers. There are two policy changes that you need to be aware of. Both are noise reduction measures. We thank you for understanding the need for these changes. Air Box - Effective immediately air boxes are now mandatory. Please see the " Air Boxes Mandatory for ALL Classes" message for approved/legal air box specs and official policy update. Lap-Tech (Tom Levenberg) has new and used air boxes available. You can contact him at tl4parts@aol.com. Silencer - For 2009 the Moran/Infineon spec silencer will be mandatory. Though optional for the remainder of 2008 we urge you to run it now if you have one. Official update to policy 100.25.) Use of Spec Silencers for Shifters: Beginning January 2009, the Infineon/Moran Spec Silencer (3-inch diameter x 14-inch length with turn-down tip; available from RCE, M4, and RLV) is required on all shifters in classes Stock 125cc Light and Heavy, Open 125cc (Moto engines only), and 80cc. However, the Spec Silencer is optional but recommended for the remainder of the 2008 Championship Season. Silencers shall be in stock form with NO MODIFICATIONS to the stinger end, packing, and/or turn-down tip. Spec Silencer shall be mounted with the turn-down tip pointed fully toward the track surface for maximum noise reduction. Correct mounting of the turn-down tip required at Pre-Tech, Grid before entering track, and Post-Race Tech.
