Rules for Used Tire Events:
(1) Tires for every track session must be used (practice, qualifying, heats, main) (2) New tires will not be allowed in any session … even practice sessions (3) Tires must be an approved club spec tire (see class specs) (4) Each tire must have a previous race day marking/stamp*. The marking can be from any series (SDKA, SKUSA, IKF, LAKC, PKC or other club) (5) Tires can be from other drivers ... as long as they meet criteria 3 & 4 above (6) Tires will be “Tech'd” on grid before each and every track session (7) Karts with new or unmarked tires will not be allowed to enter the track** (8) As many tires as necessary may be used during the day as long as they are used SDKA spec tires with a race day marking/stamp
*Tires that are clearly used (not merely scuffed) but do not have a prior race day stamp will be allowed without penalty. You must go to Tech in the morning before practice begins to have them inspected and stamped. Of course they must be one of the club option tires for your class.
**If you have tires with prior race stamps that are worn off or not clearly visible please go to tech in the morning before practice begins to have them inspected and re-stamped.

After reviewing these rules- they are a joke. Being able to use more than 1 set of tires makes no sense being that your reason for having a used tire day is to save money? I am planning on racing next sunday so if I dont have a set of used tires and only a new set does that mean that I wont be able to race?? or just not for points? I am only practice racing.
