UPDATE [4/10/2010]
We will be on the West lot and will run the full normal course (West Reverse).
Update 4/15/2010 We are pitting inside Ring Road (inside the fence on the track side) ... same as the last race.
Like those who replied below, we wanted to run the SE B1 short course; however, the lot is not available on Saturday for clean up.
Unfortunately, the SE lot still has a thick layer of dirt and grit in many areas outside of the course that was cleaned for the previous race. It would require 3-4 hours to set up the course and clean sections that are unique to SE B1 (sections not cleaned for the previous race). This set up and cleaning would obviously have to be done on Saturday since we don't have an extra 3 hours available on race day morning.
The race day schedule will be posted on or before Monday. As usual for the used-tire events, we will lengthen the heat race breaks to 15 minutes to provide a little extra time for swapping tires if necessary.
We'll see you all next weekend.
............................................................................................................
[Initial post]
The NE lot is no longer available for us on April 18th due to a large used car event. We will be still be racing at Qualcomm on April 18th and it will still be a used tire event.
We are currently deciding on which lot and course to run. It will either be the West lot (possibly the full course with reduced laps) or the SE short course that we used last year (layout #B1).
If you have any preferences feel free to reply with a reason for your suggestion. Include your name and class in your reply.
Thank you.

Bobby and I have not yet raced on the NE #1 course. I would like to see the April race run on the .55 mile NE 1 course, except set it up on a different corner of the stadium parking lot. I am told that it is a very fast course and a lot of fun to drive. It would be something different for us. Shifter Light and Heavy. Bob Legate

Bob - SE layout B1 is basically the NE layout setup on the SE lot (as close as possible based on length, lamp post locations and other obstacles). Here's a link to the SE B1 layout: sdka.com/SDKA%20Southeast%20Course%20B1.pdf

Jeff, If the NE course is not available, then I would prefer the SE B1 course over of the West course because it would be something different.
thanks, Robert Switzler TaG Masters #44

I have to agree with Bob and Bobby the NE course should be set up on a different space I was looking forward to running the NE configuration it's a really fun course. I'll vote for SE B1 over West.

UPDATE [4/10/2010 ... also posted above in the original post]
We will be on the West lot and will run the full normal course (West Reverse).

This set up and cleaning would obviously have to be done on Saturday since we don't have an extra 3 hours available on race day morning.
If the SE lot was available on Saturday for clean up we definitely would have gone with the SE B1 short course. The replies above made that an easy choice (thank you for your input). Unfortunately it's just not possible to get the course race-ready before Sunday morning.
The race day schedule will be posted on or before Monday. As usual for the used-tire events, we will lengthen the heat race breaks to 15 minutes to provide a little extra time for swapping tires if necessary.

UPDATED race day schedule is posted. NOTE: The drivers' meeting has been moved to 8:30 AM to help ensure we get the on-track sessions started on time (9:00 AM for first practice). The other change is the addition of SuperMoto for three track sessions. We were approached by them and agreed to give it a test this weekend. It could work out to be a nice combination ... something different. I'm definitely going to watch some of the action when they're on track. The addition of SuperMoto did not affect our laps ... everything remains the same. It only extended the day by 35 minutes. [Update] We are pitting inside of Ring Road (inside the fence on the track side) ... same as the last race.
