Hi,
I am looking to get into karting with minimal expense. The HPV and formula Y seems a better option in that respect. However, since I most likely will go to the track (race day or practice) most of the time by myself, I was wondering if you can reliably start an HPV or formula Y on your own.
Thanks for your great forum, Sylvain

On race day you can always find someone that can help get you started. When my son and I were running Formula Y a few years ago, I mounted my starter box on caster wheels so I could start him then jump in my kart, start it, and push the starter away from the kart. The wheels were aound $8 total at Harbor Freight.
