I have recently started my son on his racing venture. He'll be 8 in December and is pretty big for his age. We recently bought a hardly used 06 Biesse Cadet Kart w/ K 80 on it. We are in the proccess of prepping it to run in JR 1 with SDKA. I haven't recieved our IKF Rulebook yet. So it would be helpful if I could get some simple answers to a couple of questions.
I noticed on the SDKA class specs that there are maximum sizes for tires in the Kid Kart class but what about Jr 1?
Can the Comer box muffler's outlet be extended and turned away from the axle? I ask this because it makes a mess after awhile. Is there an alternative exhaust that will comply
Thanks in advance, Brian Cartier

Brian C.
The max tire size for the class is the 5.5-5. I run a 4.5 front rim with the 5.5 rear. You basically purchase four of the same size tire.
The exhaust cannot be modified from stock. It does leave a little mess but after running a little and tuning the motor it should be very little when it is perfect running condition.
Glad to hear we will have additional Jr driver. If you need more help just post again.

Also - be sure to support the tire companies that support the club (Maxxis and Burris). Both give back to the drivers at the year end banquet in the form of free tires and other swag. Plus the tires cost less and are equal-to if not better-than the YHC tires.
