So i want to get into racing and I'm 15 but I'm turning 16 in October so i really didnt want to join HPV 2 Junior because im turning 16 pretty soon but im not really sure what class to join im a pretty good driver and i have driven some different carts so i was thinking Formula Y/C Heavy because that is what my friend is in or mabey Stock 125cc Shifter - Light? So would those be good for a just starting off racer or something else.

Matt - Since you are turning 16 during the racing season you can race as a senior this year. As for which class, you should not jump straight into Stock Shifter. I would recommend HPV-4 or Formula Y/C Heavy (depending on how much you weigh). If you are a small/light guy then you will have to bolt on a lot of lead to the kart to make the minimum class weight for Formula Y/C Heavy. Rotax or TaG Senior would be my second suggestions for you.
The past couple years I've helped quite a few new drivers get into the sport. Give me a call if you would like. My number is 619-916-8076. I can help get you into a good used kart once you decide which class.

Hi Matt - I now have a couple karts available and maybe another one or two more. Give me a call at 619-916-8076 if you want to see what they are. Each of them is in perfect condition. A few different motor options as well.
