Kyle,
Before anyone can answer your question more info is needed. What kind of motor is this clutch on and what kind of clutch is it? For example, an L&T clutch on a KT100 motor utilizes a special tool to hold the clutch while you remove the starter nut. Once the clutch is off the crank shaft, you would pull the key off the shaft and the clutch drum slides off.
