I'm most likely going to be racing this year. I am a beginner, but I might get a 125cc stock shifter. So I need to know what kind of safety gear I need. Also, what are the rules on the types of fuel, oil and tires I can use? I am trying to get into professional racing so what's the best way to get noticed by sponsors and whatnot? Is it all about lap times or what?
Thanks

Brent,
You'll need a helmet that meets the Snell rating specifications, gloves, as well as a neck collar. I'm not sure what fuel and oil SDKA is using this year, but you have to run the spec one. Also, I believe the tires are MG Yellow, which is the spec compound you must run. The best way to get noticed by sponsors is to gain results all through the ranks of karting and then present yourself to different people you would like to sponsor you.
