Hi I am looking into kartiong on a purely hobby level. I'm in my mid 30's and have a young family so getting away too much isn't possible. However I heard that there are some track in Riverside that you can either rent or buy a used kart for cheap where a company holds and maintains your kart for you. The karts are in the $1800 range and you pay a monthly fee for storage and upkeep so that the cart is ready always for arrive and drive. Has anyone heard of this? Also, what would you recomend for the least amount of work to enjoy this hobby. Thanks

I don't know about these deals for sure but the tracks in Riverside include Adams, Apex (at Perris) and perhaps Moran (in Beaumont), which is not closing as soon as expected. You'd have to get details from them and comparison shop to decide the best deal. If they rent, you can obviously try them all and see which track and deal you like best. Driving a rental at a school is the way to decide what to buy unless you have a good friend who will let you drive his!
