Hello, I was down at the track today, and have a quick question about the classes. I see on the SDKA web site that the Rotax and TAG classes are very similar. TAG class you can run a Rotax engine. What is the difference in the two, and are there any opinions as to which is better(pros/cons)? Thanks for the help and advice.

The primary difference between the 2 classes in terms of having a Rotax motor is the minimum weight (365 in Tag, and 385 in Rotax). The only other difference would be a few other tire options in the Tag class.
I would recommend getting a Rotax if for no other reason than you have the option to run either class, as well as the option in the future to participate in the RMax Challenge.

So the Rotax motor sounds like the way to go, but the class might be a different story. I guess the best class to join is the one that is the most popular here in SoCal. I will look around the net to see what seems to be the most widely run class. Thanks for the insight.
