Hey Everyone,
My 8 year old son (okay and maybe myself included) is thinking about getting into karting. I would like for him to actually go to a race and meet some other karters before I start diving into this new hobby for him/myself.
I noticed the next race is coming up at the end of July. Is it open to the public? If so, how much do tickets cost? Let me know. Thanks!

SDKA events are open to the public. Cost to attend is $10/person; to cover the cost of insurance; payable at the registration table. Practice begins at 9am; qualifying usually by 11am; racing immediately following; 2 heats + main for each race group. We are usually done by 5pm. Entrance gives you access to the pit areas where you will find everyone helpful and willing to share their knowledge of our sport. Karting at the SDKA is quite friendly and lay back. Come and enjoy the day with us. Bring a cooler with drinks, food, and chairs to sit on.

Thanks Bill. My son is REALLY eager to get into karting, so I figure this would be a good way for him to check everything out.
